Bought this to replace the stock PS for my FX tube buffer pre-amp that I paid less than $30 brand new several years ago. Back then I replaced the Chinese tubes it came with for USA made GE tubes for around $28. I have a WiiM Ultra and Sony X800M 4k bdp that plays SACD, DVD-Audio(I have a collection of physical media). Both the Wiim(USB & optic) and the blue~ray player(digital coax) are linked to my Geshelli Labs J2S DAC with Sparkos op-amps. From there to a Schiit LYS(RCA switcher), 1 line going to the FX preamp then to my late model Sony ES AVR. I have EMF filtering on my surge protector, other quiet power supplies, ferrous chokes, etc, but nothing expensive. Anyway, now my system sounds better than ever. Subtle, yet beyond placebo to my ears. Perfect match for my use case. This PS is well constructed, allows my devise to achieve its potential, and it’s priced so low it doesn’t make sense not to try it. Satisfied customer, will shop AC-DC Powershack in the future. Oh btw, they shipped it immediately and it arrived in a couple days. Excellent service!
For the price point, this is a great deal! The order was well packaged and not damaged at all, unlike some other vendors that I have bought from. The transformer was not advertized as a toroid, but it is which is a big plus. It is properly mounted to the case with a good bolt, and isn't going anywhere. The case itself is decently thick sheet metal. Solder connections on the inside were good, wiring was tidy, and nothing needed rework. Input side had a two-pole switch and a glass fuse. Output has a switched breaker. All in all, this is a really nice and well built unit and you can't beat the price.
I purchased this as an isolation unit and got the very act as a bonus. The construction exceeds my expectations and the operation of the variac seems very accurate to the display. Works best when I go above the voltage I want and come back down.
AC-AC Power Supply 12V AC @ 3000mA; 2.1 x 5.5mm
Has done a great job so far
Didn't work
AC-AC Power Supply 9V AC @ 1110mA; 2.5 x 5.5mm
This power supply works great for my five watt qrp transceiver. Thanks.
AC-DC Linear Power Supply 12V DC @ 500mA; 2.1 x 5.5mm NEGATIVE center polarity
Got a DC adapter pigtail for my pedal board and it works great.
Thank you.
This power supply worked excellently for my project. It shipped on time; came early I could not be more pleased!
Used it to power an antique Mr. Christmas Music box. It was a rare 9 Volt AC (not DC).
Lots of settings and attachments. Should be useful. Bought to replace a plug for a radio. The power supply is some new switching stuff that totally blocks AM. Since no batteries makes no sense! Supposedly a Biden mandate (no surprise).
Needed it for my cb radio
Quick ship. Cable works fine
I purchased this for my fiber optic Hummingbird lamp because it has a color wheel synchrous motor in which requires the above power adapter. This company is the only company I found that carries these adapters. I bought one, and now have bought 2 more, one for my sister who has the same lamp and another for me, because I recently purchased another fiber optic lamp. Hans was very helpful and I truly appreciate the help he provided. Thank you Hans!
Most guitar pedals and effects boxes are standard 9V center negative DC, but my Alesis Phlngr actually needs 9V AC. I had to find the right plug size which ended up being 2.5 mm inner diameter instead of 2.1mm like this adapter. This site also sells the converter from 2.1x5.5 mm to 2.5x5.5 mm that allows me to interface with this unit. Works as intended.
I bought this adapter for my Boss SE-50 since I did not want to spend $40+ on a giant brick known as the BRB-120. I had one of the original Roland power supplies back in the day and hated how much space it took up just for a half-1U rackmount. However the plug on the AC/AC adapter I bought here is 2.1mm x 5.5mm so I also got a converter on this website to adapt it to the 3.0mm x 6.3mm plug in the back of the SE-50. I have confirmed this to be operational, and a less expensive shoehorn for the BRB-120.
